Tributes 1:

This is indeed a painful reality to accept. But our comfort is the assurance that he has gone to be with our Maker. Praying for the comfort for you all. Indeed, it’s a great loss to us, but also a great gain to Heaven. Rest on God’s general. Your work here on earth is completed. Our lives have been touched and changed by his show of love. We will never forget the impact he had in our lives. Rest on Dad, your beautiful smile, funny jokes and encouraging stories will forever remain in our hearts.

--Salome

Your dad really exemplified God’s love and kindness towards man…he did…he will be greatly missed.

Good bye Daddy Paul (Alain)

The first day I met you is still fresh in my memory and how you spoke to me as if you had met me a long time ago.

You received me and my family, wholeheartedly like a father who has seen a lost child.

When I learnt you left your engineering career to go after the souls of mankind for love's sake, I was humbled and marveled that the missionaries we used to hear about in those days still exist in my time.

You served and loved the Lord. No doubt, it was time to rest in the Lord's bosom (Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints).

All is well with the righteous.

Rest in Peace....Daddy Paul

--Peter

Once more, my most heartfelt condolence to the immediate family and Christian family in Europe, India, Japan and Nigeria - Port Harcourt. A life well lived in Christ and for Christ. May God uphold the family both biological and spiritual.

Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith. May he give us the strength and enablement to hold the forth and keep the banner of faith flying till we shall see Jesus.

Amen

Brother Paul !

Daddy Paul!!!

Adieu Sir!!!

Till we meet again at Jesus feet.

Like the Apostle Paul in 2nd Timothy, Paul can at the end of his fruitful life on earth be privileged and lucky to be one of the few who can confidently proclaim that “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.”

We bear witness to this, because we saw him live it; his work and legacies testify to it.

Paul was a complete man of God. He believed in humanity and in the oneness of the human existence.  He left the luxury and comfort of his native country to proclaim the good news in many parts of the world, including Nigeria where he spent the last part of his missionary life.

In the countries he settled he not only lived among the people, he lived their lives, ate their food, wore their clothes and adapted to their custom, never forgetting his mission of bringing people to the gospel,

He did this conscientiously: he did it through the printed work as well as in numerous appearances in various Christian events. He also did it through his ministry and his daily interactions with the people, bringing hope and succor to many underprivileged people.

He was a simple man, simple as his mentor and Lord, Jesus Christ. He did not attempt to exalt himself above others. He lived and respected those around him even when they attempted to elevate him because of his perceived socioeconomic status. His had a simple existence, divorced of materialism and focused on a higher goal.

I have known him for the past twenty years as a friend and my tenant. He was a man of his words and full of integrity. He was also fair in his dealings. On my visits I was always welcomed by a happy family: his wife Maria and their children. I could always see that he had a happy and successful family.

He lived life to its full and to his callings. Paul will no doubt be with God now and I have no doubt that on 19th January, 2022, Paul heard these words from his Father:

“Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your Lord.

--Paul
